I’ve always considered myself, in addition to being reasonable, to be intelligent. Simply put, though, I can’t figure out what is going on in the US Virgin Islands.
According to this link, the Republican caucus was held (Yes, the US apparently owns some kind of island or something somewhere. Yes, this territory apparently gets to vote on who the nominees will be. 9 delegates are at stake.)
Beyond that, I’m having a hard time making sense of anything. I think that the islanders vote for actual people who are will attend the convention in Cleveland as delegates. I also think that some of these delegates will be somehow bound by the vote on who to choose on the first ballot. After that, everything gets really hazy as all the articles assume you have knowledge that I don’t possess.
The results are in but all 6 delegates are unpledged? Huh? And what about the other three delegates?
If anyone can explain it to me, I’d appreciate it.

I’m writing this as a response to the comment question you had on my website about advertising. I wanted to personally answer it for you. My apologies for making this a comment type, but I couldn’t find a contact page or “about” page on this website.
Honestly, it all depends. Sometimes the author merely makes his/her money back by advertising on my website, and some come out a decent amount ahead. I’ve yet to hear of anyone losing money when advertising on my website, though.
The mileage varies on book cover quality, blurb, and topic, which is true of any book anywhere. I can get eyeballs to the book, but the book has to close the deal, if that makes sense. So no, I can’t promise you large numbers of book sales, but overall it seems to be an overall positive to your book’s exposure.

The V.I. is a U.S. territory, like Puerto Rico, Guam, the Northern Marianas and American Samoa. Residents are U.S. citizens, with U.S. passports. But they are NOT allowed to vote for president, and are not directly represented in Congress. But both major parties allow voting delegates from the territory at their convention.
Usually it’s pretty straightforward, but this year there are two rival groups both claiming to be the legitimate Virgin Islands GOP, and there have been lawsuits and general ugliness. It’s all very convoluted and personal and I don’t want to comment too explicitly – hell I don’t know who’s the good guy and who’s the bad guy, or even if there IS a bad guy. It’s all going to be settled at the convention by the RNC.
